TAKING A NORTH TIER COURSE

Summer 2012 Catalog (member)

Summer 2012 Catalog (non-member)

North TIER Partnership sponsors own North TIER-developed courses. Classes vary from semester to semester.
The online courses are not conducted at a certain time of the day, nor a set time to log in each week.  During the first day of the online course week, the instructor will post an assignment on the EDC Blackboard system.  Class participants must log in to Blackboard at points during the course week, complete the activities, and participate in the discussion board.

•    Participants are expected to check into the classroom environment several times during the week to respond to other people's posts, comments and activities.

•    Participants can expect to spend at least 4-6 hours each week completing class activities. These courses are 30 hours of work and count for 30 hours towards re-certification for most people.  Graduate credit requires completion of all course activities, work and discussions, plus an additional graduate-level reflection paper.

•    There is a $50, non-refundable course fee for each course. Fees should be paid before the start of courses. A 90% refund will be offered for those dropping during the 7 days after initial notification from your instructor.  After this period, fees are not refundable.
•    The drop period for course grading ends after the first week. Participants will be graded after the first week.
•    Registration is for the Summer 2012 courses is from May 29 through June 22, 2012.
•    Courses run from July 2 until August 19, 2012. (The first week is an orientation.)
Note: Participants in these courses are requested to consent to sharing their knowledge and participate in surveys.  All sessions will be conducted online. All projects must be submitted on or before the final date.  For more information contact Aron Sterling: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Graduate Credit
North TIER is working with Colorado State University to provide a graduate credit option for all courses! If you choose the graduate credit option you will be required to submit a graduate level reflection paper. In addition, graduate credit fees will be assessed.  You will be able to register for the graduate credit option during the first week of class.
